welcome to my online bedroom...
hey, i'm mo! i like to burn incense and walk around. i wanted a place to indulge myself online because i'm trying to put more of myself in the world - i'm something of a lurker by habit.
i live in england and i'm currently working towards a ba in latin and english literature. when i'm not doing that like to surf the web :). i like to think i have a beginner's spirit. i hope to teach one day.

- games: i love reading or listening to games criticsm, even though i categorically suck at playing video games! my favourites video games are (somewhat predictably) disco elysium, kentucky route zero, life is strange, oxenfree i, fallout: new vegas and the classic fallouts, night in the woods, the sims 3/4, oblivion, skyrim, cult of the lamb - amongst others!
- paracosms: i haven't actually matured since like age 12 in this regard. my most beloved hobby is creating fictional worlds (even if i use existing media to get halfway there) - i love thinking about people and their histories and the rest of it! it's so fun and i will probably not stop when i turn 35 or even 50. it isn't 'serious' writing but it makes me really happy. i'm glad there are so many worlds within our reach.
- music: i am never not listening to something. my favourite artists are radiohead (i know), stereolab, mogwai... i tend to listen more to song h. i've tried to mix it up on the website but i'm on a real thom yorke kick lol.
- languages: i am studying old english and latin :)! i like pondering english etymology but i know a shameful amount about proto-indo-european for words' ancestors so that is one point of interest i would like to explore. i'm not good at latin but it pushes me to think. translating from ancient languages has always felt like working on a puzzle and it's helped me to push myself. i hope i'll try my best on them.
- nature: this is broad but i am a bit of a hippy dippy type. i live in a city which makes it difficult to get out of the urban jungle but i like to walk, hang around co-ops, and i've tried my hand at container gardening. the background of this webpage is one took during a trip to hebden bridge! i love to eat himalayan balsam also. mmm invasive species... YUM!
